After a few years away from teaching, the Glastonbury Wire Studio is opening its doors again.
There are just 10 places for each day with each workshop standing on its own. Come for one day and make something, or join me for all three days and take the journey from the basic skills through to more complex weaving and wrapping.
The workshop takes place at Heart of the Tribe, an independent gallery and creative space in the heart of Glastonbury.
To reach the workshop studio, you walk through the gallery and out into the beautiful terrace garden beyond. At the top of the garden you’ll find the Community Hub — a dedicated, light-filled studio designed for creative workshops.
With a large central worktable, its own kitchen area, good coffee, an undercover outdoor seating area and the garden just outside, it’s a very different setting from a conventional classroom.
And when the day’s work is done, you’re already in Glastonbury, with the town, its galleries, cafés, independent shops and food all within easy reach.

Please arrive from 9:15am
Workshop starts promptly at 9:30am
Finish: 5:00pm
We’ll take a 30-minute lunch break at 1:00pm.
There are plenty of places to grab something on the High Street, including a sandwich café directly opposite the gallery, or just down the High Street, our famous bakers Burns the Bread, so you won’t have to go far.
I generally encourage a working lunch. Wire wrapping takes time, and there’s a lot to get through if we’re going to keep the day moving. You’re welcome to bring something with you, or grab something locally during the break. The garden at the gallery is the perfect place to take that break.
Everything you need to make your jewellery is included.
I’ll supply all the wire, stones, beads and tools needed for the workshop, so there’s nothing extra you need to buy before you arrive.
You will also have a full set of Tronex tools to work with. Tronex are recognised for making some of the finest precision hand tools available, and these are the tools I use in the studio.
If you have your own tools that you’re comfortable with, you’re very welcome to bring them along too. Some people simply prefer working with their own tools.
In short, it’s all-inclusive — turn up, sit down at the bench and start making.
The workshops are available as either a three-day experience or as individual days.
For the first four weeks after bookings open, the workshops will be available as a three-day booking only. This gives those who want to join me for the full three days first chance to secure a place.
If you’re booking all three days, you can use the 10% discount code on this page when you book.
Patreon supporters receive 20% off the three-day booking. That discount alone is nearly enough to cover a year’s Patreon subscription, so if you’re already supporting LSDesigns, coming along to the workshop gives you a good part of that support back. And the discount doesn’t stop there — as long as you’re a Patreon supporter, you’ll continue to receive the discount on future workshops.
After the first four weeks, any remaining places will be opened up for individual day bookings.
Each day stands on its own, so you can choose the day that suits you. Patreon supporters will also receive 15% off individual day bookings using their personal discount code.
If you want to come for all three days, you can still book the full three-day workshop, subject to availability across all three days.
